something old, something new, something designed just for you

From illustrating the church where the ceremony is to be held, using the colour scheme of the flowers within the design or drawing the couples beloved pets to feature on the invitations, I love being able to use my creativity to bring your ideas to life and using my knowledge of printing & design to make the process as clear and straightforward as possible.

To help you out, on this page you will find information on how I create my designs, the different timeframes and stages for ordering each element of your suite, as well as a guide to pricing and how to get in contact to arrange your own tailored quote, as well as examples from my ever-growing wedding portfolio.

a step by step guide to creating your custom wedding stationery

To help make the process as clear as possible here is a step by step guide to the different stages to how I will bring your wedding stationery ideas to life.

It all starts with you!

Initially we will discuss what elements you want to make up your suite & the ideas you have for the design. This could be anything from colour scheme, flowers, the venue or a particular image or theme you want the design to be focused around .

Creating your design.

I will keep you regularly updated with the progress of your design, sharing sketches, layout and style ideas, acting upon your feedback and making any changes you require until you're happy with the final design.

Customising your suite.

Once you're happy with the design, I will begin applying the style to each element you want including within your suite. Once you're happy with how each element looks we will move to the printing process of your wedding stationery suite.

Producing your suite.

During this stage I will work closely with the printers to ensure everything is produced to the finest quality, making sure that the paper, finish and feel is in line with the style and theme of your wedding.

Finishing Touches.

Once all the elements of your suite have been produced & any final personal touches completed, your suite will be securely posted/delivered to you.

And that's a wrap!

Wedding planning can be daunting, so here to help you is a guide to the different stages for when you'd have each element of your suite designed and ready to use.

Save the Date cards are a popular way of making guests aware of when your big day will be, ensuring they keep your day clear in their calendar whilst you're still finalising the specific timings and details of the day.

These are often sent a year in advance or as soon as possible to give guests plenty of notice.

The Invitations, R.S.V.P cards & Information slips, including details on travel, accommodation, gifts, would all be sent at the same time. This is when you send your guests all the information they'll need prior to your big day & ask that they confirm if they will be attending.

Many couples now use Wedding Websites where guests can log in to find out details & R.S.V.P.  At this stage you would then send a simple invitation outlining the key information, such as the date & venue, along with the login details for your wedding site.

Usually couples contact guests 3 - 4 months prior to the wedding.

The last stage of the process is finalising all the little bits you need on the day, such as:

The Order of Service, Table Plan, Place Names, Table Numbers, Menus & your own personal touches, such as Illustrated Wedding Timelines.

Each couple will be different in how many elements they need for the day based on how they want their wedding to be.

This final stage will usually be completed within the final month prior to the wedding.

Remember it's ok if you don't know each element you want within your suite straight away - as we work through the process we'll plan for each stage & if you think of something new or something extra you want added into a certain stage we can make that happen too.

Please remember this is just a guide based on my experience. Each couple is different & the elements you want in your suite will differ to the next couple as will the timeframes in which you want to have each elements ready and sent out by.

If you are working towards set dates by which you wish to send guests Save the Dates & Invitations by, please make sure you factor in the time for your designs to be created & printed, which can take between 2 - 3 weeks.

a guide to pricing and how it works

We all know that weddings can be expensive occasions but I don't believe that just because you mention the 'W' word that automatically means you have to pay more.

This is why when I quote on a project I split my costs in two:

my design fee

printing and shipping costs

It's clear, it's simple & it means you know exactly what you're paying for.

Although each suite I design will be unique, below are a couple of example packages to give you an idea:

My design fee covers my time for creating the theme, producing the illustrations & artwork and the time to apply it to and personalise each element of your suite.

Postage & packaging fees cover both the cost of the print work being sent through to me to be prepared and then sent to you ready for use. If you know in advance which elements you want designed, printed and ordered at the same time then these can all be grouped together into one stage to reduce postage costs.

** Prices given are a guide & vary depending on your requirements, such as printing processes, foiling, additional artwork, hand finishing, paper stocks, etc.

feedback from wedding clients I have worked with

"Chris designed our wedding invites and all signage for our big day.

We absolutely loved the designed and Chris was able to capture the theme we were looking for. The process was simple, and Chris was very attentive, always checking in with us on updates and ensuring we were happy along the way. Chris gave a very personalised approach to the design of our timeline, and he designed all the extra signs we wanted including the guest book/bar/cake signs.

Chris is very talented and it was so nice having such a personalised design to our day. We highly recommend Chris to any future Bride and Grooms who are looking for a unique and personalised approach by a talented designer, to add that extra something special to their day."

Emma, London

"Chris was amazing from start to finish.

He created and designed our wedding save the dates and invitations and managed to put down exactly what we wanted when we weren't able to verbalise it that well. He completely understood what we wanted and executed it perfectly. We weren't too sure what we needed to include and what we wanted and he was so knowledgeable and helpful from the start.

We would highly recommend him."

Lavinia, Canterbury

"Chris designed our wedding invites as well as table names and name places.

We were so pleased with the outcome! Both the design and quality were of an excellent standard and we received them very quickly after confirming the final design.

Chris is a pleasure to work with and I would thoroughly recommend him!"

Rebecca, London

"Chris created beautiful wedding and reception invitations for us.

Working with Chris was relaxed and fun. He had some great suggestions and was able to interpret our ideas to create just what we were looking for. Our friends loved the invitations and we would definitely recommend Chris.

The moment we get a pet he will be on call for a pet portrait!"

Helen & Jason, Hove

"I used Chris to draw the pictures for my table plan in March 2019 for my wedding.

From the very start, Chris was professional and always in contact with me throughout the process. I am over the moon with the outcome and had so many comments on the day on how wonderful they were, I now have the picture hanging in my home.

I would highly recommend and use again."

Kayleigh, London
